Exactly. They seem to have no consideration to the other driver in merging situations which is one of my pet peeves. It is that me first attitude..... to heck with you if I run you onto the shoulder of the road when I aggressively merge.

Those merging situations often cause issues it seems. They are almost always clearly marked on who has right of way. Never understand why many seem to think its ok to ignore the signs.

Saw a car pass on the shoulder of the DC beltway yesterday.

I saw a pickup do that a few years ago. We were stuck behind two beer distributor trucks who were going down the road side by side, doing 45 in a 75 MPH zone. I can't blame him though, by that point we had followed them for well over 5 miles and went a couple more before a construction zone forced them into one lane.

I wrote a letter of complaint to their employer giving the date, time, place, and truck numbers.

I saw a guy driving a reading the newspaper once. I know a retired state trooper that wrote a guy up for it once. What are people thinking?

They aren't, that's the problem.
