No, it has not been any problems, as far as I know.
But it's not a big surprise that heat pumps don't work well at very low temperatures and that will make range shorter.
But again, Norway is not that cold but here I live -20 celsius and below is common tempratur in periods and those EVs seems to work just fine.
Thank you!

Agvg, I second what two_bit_score said -- Thanks for the info on what is driven in Norway! Was very interesting to learn that.

A coworker has a Tesla here. The only thing he said about the cold was that it limited range. He said that when they drove it to the cities, (that's from Bismarck, ND to Minneapolis, MN) it barely made it between places to charge. He said he was nervous about it the whole time, but "they made it".

In the summer time, he doesn't have any issues on the same trip.

yeah Slowpoke Slim, I'm originally from Northern Mn. (Kettle River) and you folks get some serious cold weather in the winters! I'm glad that they have at least some charging stations built, that's about a 2 hour dive one-way for you.

Tesla had a similar prototype in the technology show in Germany.
I didn't watch the video, but did skim the article. Seems like on a 1-10 scale of practicality this ranks about a 2, kind of like the wood powered truck featured many years ago in Mother Earth News.

Norway is not that large either. The longest road is ~280 miles. The top speed limit is 68mph and has only two lanes. Most of the roads are single lane. The US has about 41,000 miles of 4,6 and 8-lane Interstate Highways with speeds limits up to 80mph. The total road system in the US is over 4-Million miles. It's not uncommon to drive for eight hours and still be in the same state (Texas). When folks of other nations brag about alternative transportation methods, they have no idea of the scale differences.

Here's an example of a single state in the US.

Oh, Europe are bigger than the US main land, most Americans only counts western part of Europe.

In terms of size the two are almost even, with Europe only slightly bigger than the US (10.2 million sq km vs 9.8 million sq km)

280 miles? Really? I drive longer than that to vist my mother-in-law.

Driving across Norway south to the Russian border is a distance of ca 3200km, 1980 miles, of course distances are greater in the US. But this is not particularly relevant to the day to day use for most drivers.

That's misleading. If you're going to quote, quote the entire excerpt.

In terms of size the two are almost even, with Europe only slightly bigger than the US (10.2 million sq km vs 9.8 million sq km) but this includes large parts of Russia. The EU, which many people think of as Europe, has a population of 510 million people, in an area half the size of the US (4.3 million sq km).
