I was going to ask if they caught the guy... then I zoomed in.
A few years ago a log truck lost his top tier of spruce logs in a bridge... and kept on going. I happened to be in a restaurant a few days later when the driver was complaining that they'd caught him.
Somebody in the SP called around until they found who had been in to buy a complete set of replacement straps.

My understanding is that the guys pilot car exited, but due to a communication snafu, the oversized load did not... I believe they demolished the bridge a few days ago to keep traffic on I-90 moving without needing to do a detour (take the exit to bypass the damaged overpass).

My first thought was those were rebar hanging down from that bridge. After a closer look I think the are cables used for pre tensioning or post tensioning the beams. With these cables cut the bridge could probably barely hold itself up.
