You've worked hard on your property. Some of you have built homes, barns, or sheds. So if you haven't yet shared pictures of your home, now is the perfect time to do it! So let's see your best home pictures and please tell us a little about any restorations or major projects you've done as well.

Thanks!

Thought I would start of the replies even though I have no restorations yet. I have not long purchased this property so not done much yet and don't live on it as we use it at weekends to get our 2 teenage sons off the playstation and computer and out into the bush. We have 997acres of mainly scrub with a creek, 5 dams, a few goats, a couple of horses and we love it.

What's the deal John? Couldn't afford the extra three acres to make it an even 1,000??? :) Just kidding!!

Wish I had a thousand acres to play on!! NICE!

This is our retirement / deer camp in southern Mississippi near magnolia. We built this on 60 acres of hard woods and is full of deer. We have 995 acres all total at 4 different locations.

Hi Guys, new member/long time lurker here.
In March we bought a couple acres that has a old 1930 Victorian home on it. The property was quite overgrown, the house was in disrepair, and needed renovating.

Mouser! The cat came with the house, doesn't like chicken, steak, or tuna, only eats cheap cat food, mice, and birds. I refer to him as a civilized feral cat.

Svendus,

Nice pics. Is the Sunday chainsaw sawmill something Stihl makes? It looks useful.

What do you do with the sawn poppel?

Do you sell it for that? Here it used to be a favorite furniture wood (under upholstery), but around here it is used for pulp wood for the paper mills. I've never seen any that big- cut before it grows that large. Beautiful photos.

We've been working hard on our place, reclaiming the land a little at a time. We've cleared enough land for three small paddocks, built a barn for our two horses and are in the process of finishing a work shop out back. I have fun with my collection of old tractors and use them when I can. Here are a few pictures of how things are coming along.
This is the house with the two fords out in front

It's been bit of work, and there is so much more to do. Having fun and keeping busy

A few pics of our little 120 acre farm on Minnesota Hill throughout the different seasons. The buildings and pasture and upper meadow are on a glacial moraine, hence, the hill. The tillable soil is carved out of the swamp, which my wife's grandfather drained and cleared a little over 100 years ago when he emigrated from Sweden. Willow, poplar, tamarack (larch), cedar and birch are all common in this area. We still have thousands of acres of swamp adjacent to our land, teaming with all sorts of wildlife. The Canadian border sits just a few hundred yards from our door.

It's the good life!

Joe

Isn't there a big difference between dry country Australia and you guys with lovely green lush country. Australia does have that type of country also but you have to get close to the coast to get it. Most of Australia is quite dry in comparison to your lovely photos.
