Sharp pocket knife

I have had Buck, Case, Uncle Henry and others but the last 10 or more years it has been Victorinox Swiss Army knifes of several different models (I have lost 2 or more and had to replace with different models). I find them very useful in everyday life to have screwdriver, can opener, 2 good sharp blades plus the other varied other tools. I have 3 of the Leatherman Multi-tools but they are a bit heavy for pocket and the pouch is always in the way when setting in a seat with arm rests so they rest in tool boxes and dresser drawers. My son gave me a good sharp tactical knife many years ago and it has pretty much stayed in my gun safe as I have no use for it at the moment.

2lane- the Spey blade is great, on the sway back I use the pen. The peanut has one also but knife was too small and blade too short. The wharncliff blade is great for splinters, and works fairly well hogs.

That stiletto benchmade is a shownuff pig sticker!

I carry a 3-blade, stainless Buck knife. I have no trouble keeping it sharp enough to shave the hair on my arms. I also carry a Leatherman multitool, which I can't keep as sharp, probably because of the way it gets used.

I carry a 2 blade ss Browning. Best man gave it to me when I got married and I have carried it ever since. Also carry a Leatherman multi-tool in belt holster and a folding ss Kobalt utty knife. Use a Buck styled Bowie knife for hunting 5" blade.

Daily carry is a Buck Knight single blade. Thin and very light. Keeps a great edge.

An interesting bit of trivia...Case has made yellow handled knives for some time; a practice I never questioned. I happened to be reading about Case knives and the author mentioned that the yellow handles were added for the practical reason that if dropped, the user could find them easily. Good idea.

Forgeblast - those are really nice knives!

My brother is Swiss Army nut carries two different ones. I really like the original Leatherman also. I stayed at a hotel several years ago near their factory. I wanted to go tour it but it was closed.
Thanks for the history 2lane. I bought my wife a yeller peanut so maybe she could find it. As many knives as she has planted our field I have only recovered one.

I think I've plowed a couple under, along with my bill fold.

I carry one of two (one in work pants pocket, the other in dress pants pocket)...both are very light composite handled Cases XX.... both single blade one is a drop point the other a clip point...

A swipe or two across a ceramic rod and a couple more on a strop and you can shave with either...

Not sure what it is but misplacing a pocket knife bothers me to the point that I don't get much done until it or a replacement is back in my pocket...!

I have been carrying this one for a long time. I got it at a gun show about 15 years ago. I bought 3 for 15$. I wish I had bought them all. Although it's a Chinese knock off of a Boker ( an expensive German knife), it has performed very well. It's easy to sharpen and it stays sharp.

Yes, I don't have a yellow Case, but I have a bright orange Benchmade. Saves a lot of time when you drop it in the grass.

1476447_10201726162214294_544751876_n.jpgI used to always carry my Uncle Henry stockman, its the only knife I have ever seen that was guaranteed against loss. Guess thats why I still have it after 30+ years.

I been carrying a knife or knives everyday since I was 6 yrs old. Have owned many different styles and brands, but the one that is always in my pocket regardless of where I am or what I am wearing is an old Camillus Yellow Bone 2 bladed Muskrat. Both blades are exactly the same, and have skinned thousands of squirrels. I wish they were still in business I would buy a half dozen more

Gerber LST. Lost it once for a while. Wife bought me a replacement one, then I found the original. Now I have my old EDC, and a backup!

I have carried Gerber pocket knives all my adult life. Not a lot of money for a decent knife and if you do misplace it you don't feel quite so bad.I havn't lost any yet.I have several very good custom built knives I carry in my fanny pack for hunting.Feel lost if I don't have a sharp knife in my pocket.
