So I acquired a 513 today and cut 3 fields without any issues. The existing shear bolt isn’t exactly confidence inspiring haha but it didn’t pop, prob didn’t get stressed. There’s a slip clutch but I’m sure it’s rusted in it’s currrnt position and needs worked over. Regardless, my 2030 pto runs when the engine runs (I’ve read others say the same of their 2030) but low low power you can grab pto shaft and stop it. So when tractor starts the cutter starts really slowly and gets some momentum before engaging the pto. Pto is hydr not tied to clutch so as long as my rpms are low it’s easy starting the cutter. On any tractor I’d say as long as the rpms are low when engaging pto/cutter - you should be ok. And of course don’t run over stuff. Haha good luck there.
