I recently purchased a snow blower. Last night I broke my first shear bolt. Fortunately, the manufacture sent a few extras. However, in trying to find replacements, I am coming up empty. Contacting the dealer of the blower has resulted in crickets, and the manufacture doesn't have a parts section on their website.

I need M10x55 cl 8.8 bolts. As many as I can get.

I would typically install a slip clutch on this implement, but I dont think it would work in this situation. Not to mention the lack of space for one.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just get something that will work. Example we use cut up livestock panel for shear bolts in the post hole auger.

Call any bolt supply co. They ship

Grade 2 bolt would do, whatever will fit the hole.

I thought shear bolts were supposed to be grade 2?
Grade 5? Thats easy!

Not so.
Grade 2 will just tear and elongate their hole.
You want a shear bolt to snap off clean.
Sometimes they have grooves cut in them to break in the right place.
Good Luck, and try to identify the OEM bolts to see if they are special.

A few extra shear bolts also came along with my new blower last year, fortunately so far I have never sheared a bolt.
