Based on what you said, something has to be causing the shear other than the stuff you are cutting. There has to be something wrong with the hog, some type of alignment problem, a mis matched pto shaft, or the way you are hogging. I currently have a slip clutch, but my last hog had shear pins, and in 10 years i think i replaced one(1). The only time the current hog slips is when i go into in really thick tall grass too fast. For me it is always speed that causes the trouble:cool: . What is your cutting speed or gear? Because if you are moving too fast it will overwhelm the slip/shear very quickly.
