Murphy - the sonotubes are required based on the size and weight of my shed - if it were smaller I could get away with putting it on concrete blocks but what I want (20 x 16) is too big/heavy for this. And I'd need 20 tubes because the inspector wants them 6' OC. That's with a 10" tube. I may have a little more flexibility if I were to use a 12" tube but knowing that the floating slab is the route I'll take if it's approved I won't have to worry about digging all of those holes.
