She\'s all mine!

Three years ago this month I brought my BX2200. 10%down and free financing for 3 years.

My wife just mailed the last payment.

I use the BX for landscaping, snow removal and hauling wood. I know I accomplished all of these chores prior to the BX but I can't remeber how.

Re: She\'s all mine!

Must be nice. I have 4 1/2 years left at $300.00 per month (just tractor and loader, doesn't include backhoe or larger trailer to haul it) on my 2005 MX5000. What the heck, it's still fun...

Well if that were true I do not own anything /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. She is the CFO and handles all the daily finances.

But it does feel nice to own the BX.

Re: She\'s all mine!

Congrats. My last payment of 2 yrs 0% interest goes the middle of this month, at which point I will own the B7800 and all attachments free and clear. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

...empathize with you about kids going to college; I've put six through and the last is now finishing his final (5th, of course /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) year.

Wasn't that what MLK, jr. really meant when he said "free at last, ....free at last....thank God, Almighty, I'm free at last." /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: She\'s all mine!

Congratulations, it is a great feeling. I just received the notice for the last payment on my land.

My Kubota is only about 18 mos old so I have a ways to go on it (60 mos loan)but I will now increase the amount of money I send each month until I pay it off. I have been rounding up to an even $10 amount and just that little bit adds up.

Re: She\'s all mine!

Lets see, I have 7-1/2 years left at "you don't want to know how much a month". I'll probably cack before it's paid off.

Part of my estate....M9000, slightly used, well cared for. RIP. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

After I pass, maybe my wife's new suitor will use the M9. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Come to think about it, I've never paid a tractor off, just keep trading up. My old 1085 paid for Massey just keeps smiling. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And no, I still don't like the new Kubota's even though I look at them quite a bit. Actually, the more I look at the big ones, the more they look like another brand. Also orange and grey.

Re: She\'s all mine!

No way /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Mines been paid for for about 6 years. It's nice, because it is ALL MINE /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Aint no bank with a note on this tractor /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The new ones do have some bells and whistles that mine doesn't. But, I've added extra lights, TnT ect too.

Debt free is sooo nice. It goes against the trend here in the US, but it is nice /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Heh ... I financed my new kubota, and they wanted a "credit card" number ... funny thing is *I* don't have one!

I have a corp card I use for company travel, and my wife has a mastercard (in her name so she can have a credit history) ... that get's us by ... (try sometime to rent a car with cash ... grrrr).

I won't say I'm debt free, but my home and now tractor are my "payments" ... can't wait to have both paid off!

Re: She\'s all mine!

You're right; it's just about impossible to do some things (like rent a car) without a credit card and I travel quite a bit, so I have 'em and they're convenient, BUT --I have each one set up for automatic payment of the entire balance each month, where that is possible and as to the rest, I have a rule that I put nothing on a credit card unless sufficient cash is already on hand to pay for it in full.

Only reason I bought the Kubota on credit was that Kubota offered 2 years at 0% interest and that meant that I could get a return on the $$ that were available to pay for it.

I don't believe in debt, but I do believe in the power of "float." /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
