When installing the first time, I had to go get the manual to figure out which bar comes where...Hope I can somewhat shorten the time with experience.

Me too. Still workin' on it.

Congratulations on your beautiful new machine. Took delivery of my L3940 in April. Just at my first oil/filters/lube 50 hrs. maintenance. So I know what you mean: lots to learn! Have some fun.

Not to be the gloom and doom guy but....I've got the same rig and you have to add another 20-30 minutes to your attach/reattach times because of the 3point hitch arms. The have to be added/removed as well. Not a huge issue but it does make me hesitate more when deciding on switching from BH to 3 pt attachments.

That's only true at the beginning. With practice, that time gets down to 5 minutes, or less.

Thanks. Have her in the garage now. Took me a while to get the bolts out (actually these are screws now) and loosen the other screws to get the ROPS down. Guess I have to work on something that is fast to remove (and still safe).

I'm looking at the photo, and it looks like there are pins, with a keeper, and all you should have had to do, was pull the pin out of the keeper pen, and maybe loosen the bolt a little, and the whole top should have swiveled down. If you took bolts out, you might better check what bolts you took out? Also you say you removed the ROPS, it should only be folded down, towards the rear of the tractor.

I know, this is not as easly explanded as its is done, hope you understand what I'm trying to say, and if not some one else on here may explan it better.

True, there are bolts with a splint-pin. But these bolts have a thread at the end so you have to screw them out after removing the splint-pin. Then you can swivel down the ROPS on the other bolts that stay on but had to be loosened some.
