Shipping container axles adding?

As of today the 20ft containers are quoited at $4000 delivered here which is to much........

Those prices should come down once all the disruption clears up. Prices may fall enough that you could buy two containers and not fool with moving them back and forth.

Some states have cracked down on home made trailers. In an accident you are always at fault since you shouldn’t be on a public road. Insurance won’t help you since you are illegal. Have much at risk? There are exceptions for farmers but you’re not farming. Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

Wouldn’t think a roll back wouldn’t be that expensive if flexible on time. Containers get moved every day. Tires, running gear costs would buy many moves.

The land owner sayes we need to move it off seasonally.

I finally was able to ask my boss and ask how much he had paid for his 20ft containers. He thought it was $4000 each which would put a dampener on any bight idea's about using them on our trails.

There could be some folks interested in the viability of adding wheels to a 20' container to be able to move it more easily on their own property short of having a large skid loader with forks to move it.

$4,000 for a container seems high, but so does the price of a storage shed these days.

Only problem with those axles is getting the wheels and tires, the most common are 9.00x20's,
you can find some 16.5" rims for 12.00x16.5 but they are scarce and tires expensive.
