Where it really gets bad is when they LOSE something. Wife ordered a dog bed from Sam's. FedEx says they delivered it. No dog bed.
After half-assed, non-committal e-mail responses from both Sam's and FedEx, Sam's says "you'll have to notify FedEx" (after waiting/wading through half an hour of phone tag). Then another half hour of phone tag with FedEx, we finally got the right claim forms from FedEx and sent in. After three weeks, FedEx says "we have denied your claim. You'll have to notify the shipper; they must originate any claims".
I blame Sam's more than FedEx. Poor customer service. Surely they should have known from the beginning that lost shipments are their responsibility to claim for and resolve. Will think twice before ever ordering from them again.
