Yes I have thought of those markets. I can package the hole rig, trailer kit and 200 ft of drill stem in a 4x4x13 box? easy ship.
How deep can you go with that size compressor? My flex hose is rated at 90 psi but it can be upgraded to 150 to match the rest of the unit.

How many hp is your compressor?

That would be a compact and easy to ship size.

I have not attempted to drill anything deeper than 20' just because I have not needed to. I am sure I could though with my compressor if I wanted to. I drill shallow holes to put dynamite in for oil exploration. The compressor is 210 CFM and 100 psi. It is powered buy a kubota diesel engine - 45 hp I think. It is a big trailer mounted unit. We drilled 80 ten foot holes today.

That's a lot of holes. What type of rig is it? hp-drill stem-head torque? Sounds like you can push down fast. A compressor would be nice but to get 6 inch holes deep, it might mean huge compressor?
Mud is not as spendy. 10 ft holes would only need water in most cases except caving soils.
