Shop Improvements

I'm surprized that there isn't an existing thread talking about nothing but shop improvements, but seemingly there isn't and so I'm starting a shop improvement thread!

Keeping in mind that there is a plesiosaur sculpture in my swamp that people in my area talk about, I installed a new gag for friends and family to discover in my "tinkerage" this evening. I think it is a good gag for people to stumble upon.

Oh, and I used a battery-operated pop rivet gun to mount my silly sign and I really like the gun!

Anyway, the best memes are stolen and I saw this somewhere on the internet, but you cannot buy the sign anywhere so I had a sign made.

Recently had a bird nesting problem in the open end of the ridge on my shop. We've been here for 20 years and so far, this has never been a problem (which kind of surprised me) but that's why I haven't addressed this condition so far. Then, I noticed some pieces of insulation laying in the yard and deduced it was coming from the shop ridge hole.

The new addition to my shop on the opposite end has closures for the ridge like this.

So I found some leftover pre-finished flat steel, broke out the sheet metal shears and went to work. The "finished" side of the steel was white, but the "inside" was a closer match to the existing faded siding color, so I decided to put that side out.

New piece in place.

Was thinking of painting it to match the trim, but I kind of like the "keystone" look matching the siding color.
