I got a large SS Husky one, that I found at the Restore (from home Depot).

I like it, except the stainless shows fingerprints easily. Also none of the flat drawers are high enough to put cutters and pliars up on their sides in one of those wire racks. So you waste space just putting them in there flat.

I have never owned another tool box. Makes me wonder what I did before I got this thing.

ALSO, would someone PLEASE tell me what that utterly STUPID opening top, that deprives you of the opportunity to keep anything on top, is for? It is no higher than a drawer could be and you could place stuff on top.

Last year I went from one old HF 26" (on the right in the pic) and an ancient 24" 3 drawer Craftsman to:

All instigated by an HF buy

The stacks cost me $100, $300, $125, $150.

Stay away from the cheap stuff Lowes sells, I bought one on sale about 6 months ago and it fell apart at the store.

But you should really visit the HF tools that don't suck thread because they had a great discussion a few months back on all the competition.
Example:
I looked at those and I honestly feel that the HF series 2 are better laid out.

So....

I have the HF 5 drawer and I cannot complain for the price and I was able to use the 20% off coupon to boot!

A friend of mine decided he was willing to part with this one. He is going to clean it up and paint the areas that need to be addressed. It was a decent price and I think it will serve me for the rest of my days.

I've got the 96" stainless from Grizzly. Could use another. Paid about $950.

Last year I purchased one of the Harbor Freight units. They are an excellent value. If you are lucky you may find an open box unit in the store and save a little more if the manager has any leeway in lowering the price. If you could find a close out unit that is where you can really save some coin. They are selling a lot of tool boxes for a reason.
