Okay, I'm happy with the local dealer and they seem friendly and checking prices they don't seem way out of line, but I noticed an ad today when traveling in a different part of the state and saw a dealer with quite a bit better prices. My dealer has a no haggle price on their MX5000 with a LA-852 loader for $22,200. The other dealer has the same exact tractor for $21,000. They are about 350 miles away. They also offer a Ansung loader with it instead of the LA-852 that specs out a little better for $19,600 with the MX5000.

$1,200 is quite a difference and if the Ansung loader really is as good as the LA-852 then that would be $2,600 cheaper. He also said I could get the more basic 702 Kubota loader for $800 less than the LA-852.

I really didn't plan on shopping around but I just happened to see their ad and the price really is quite a bit lower. I don't know whether I should mention this to my dealer and see if they will come a little closer to the other price or not. I will for sure feel akward if they know I shopped at their place and bought somewhere else and then bring my tractor in for it's 50 hour checkup service.

Also if anyone knows anything about the Ansung loaders I would appreciate any input. The other dealer said they were really good loaders built in Korea and he sells lots of them with no problems.

Thanks in advance for any input.

We had Ansung approach us to sell their product. I was really not impressed with the product or company. Its bascily a guy with a shop in Korea that kicks out loaders for some of the off-brands. They make one or two loaders for kubota tractors with mounts to put them on most of the L and small M tractors. I question their specs, they seem rather optimistic. If you have warrenty issues or the loader does damage to the tractor I'd have big concerns. They don't seem to have a process in place to address these things. The last nail in the coffin for us was that they are priced basicly equal to loaders from Woods who is well estabilished, has a warrenty and support dept and is based in the USA.

Swing by your local dealer and ask to see thier shop and parts department, ask to see thier certifications where they spent the money to send thier techs to get factory trained. Then go to the dealer I am assuming you are talking about and ask for the same info. Then make the decisison where it would be best to spend money on an item that is going to be around for 20 to 30 years. (An investment)
