Could I put weights on the front? I know I would be very happy with either of these tractors, but it would have to lift the bales for me to justify the purchase.
Farmwithjunk, I see you are in Kentucky. Do you know of any around for sale?
Thanks
Matt
1st off, a 150 can handle big rounds fairly well. I've got front suitcase weights and front wheel weights for mine but they've been on the barn floor for ages. It'll handle most anything the lift will pick up without additional weights.
WHile the 135 is a great tractor, I'd much prefer a 150, especially if it was/is my primary tractor. Just a little bit bigger/heavier makes a world of difference in the capabilities. The 150 seems like a MUCH bigger and more powerful tractor even with the same exact drive train as the 135 just because of it's ability to take better advantage of it's power.
I'm always watching for 150's to come up for sale. I'm ot aware of any right now, but they do show up from time to time. I don't check dealers, so there could be a few for sale that route.
Until you asked about 150's in Kentucky, I didn't even notice you're being from Smithfield, KY. HOWDY NEIGHBOR! I'll keep my eyes and ears open and see if any 150's pop up on the radar.
