shopping rant "Your Cancellation was successful" WTH??

Spent a good hour on the phone with Amazon yesterday; seems someone hacked our account and had charged several hundred dollars to it. Fortunately Amazon spotted them as suspicious and we weren't charged. The hackers sent us probably 10 or 12 robo calls... which we didn't answer... in a short time period. We got it all straightened out though; cancelled our card, etc.

We got 3 calls like that this morning.
We buy from Amazon with gift cards only.
We ignored the calls.
I hope that wasn't the wrong decision.
