Short PTO Shaft (Rear) Kubota B and BX Question

B2320 no problems using any of my implements. Just keep the implement shaft greased regular and just a little on the output shaft.

PTO shafts need to be fitted to the implement you are turning with them. I have a little Ford 1100 subcompact and I pull a finish mower that I picked up at auction, and I noticed the other day that it really need to be shortened up, as it is too long for the setup. Too long will put pressure on rear of the tractor and bust the pto housing. Too short will probably cause issues with wobble and increased wear on the parts that slide.

Boy howdy. I bought a Land Pride tiller from a dealer that otherwise has been excellent. Took the '24 to them for other reasons - so they had both at the same time. Were supposed to set the shaft length.

When I got home and tried to use it, it was maybe 1/2 inch too long to connect. That's the good news. If I'd actually connected it, it would have trashed the tractor when I raised the tiller. Sheesh.

The kid who did the install said he used the prescribed shaft length - but didn't take into account the slip clutch addition to that length. Sheesh again...
