Well around here, being good and being polite are not mutually exclusive.
.

I couldn't agree with you more, no reason for anyone to be rude and add their apparent lack of any of the above is what made it so good.

I have heard of just using a rubber band around the action and shoot singles. Supposedly works really well.

One of the guys I shoot with uses the clip and it works fine. The guys I shoot with are very laid back and just out to have fun, however every one would be annoyed if a stranger was pelting them with shotshells.

The two types that I've seen are a small plate that partially covers the port, and a smaller plate with a wire attachment that catches the shell. Which do you mean? I haven't shot any sanctioned events yet but I know that "pelting" would get a person disqualified.

charlz - I've heard of that also and may try it. I'm told you have to adjust it frequently to keep it in the right place.

To be honest I never paid too much attention to what he uses as I shoot an over under but it isn't nearly as visible as the above linked one. I think it was something like this:
SHELL CATCHER | Brownells
It was barely noticable.

The one from Brownells is what I have successfully used in the past. Very simple and efficient. Snap on, snap off.

The "Save-It" apparently mounts with tape. Gun oil/solvent would make short work of keeping it on. Plus, you'd likely need fresh tape if it was taken off. Since I haven't used it my conclusions are only guesses.

Yes, and that's the T&S model which is the only other one that I'm familiar with. I like the looks of it more, but there may be a fitment issue with the Competition Synthetic.
