Shotgun to loose a lugnut

I just had to share this - and sorry, I have to laugh.

When I was reading the top of the story, I was wondering why you would use a shotgun as a cheater bar on you lug wrench, but it might fit. Reading the rest of the story, I understand.
However, wouldn't a rifle be more effective for removing a single lugnut.

Personally, I think the lugnut was behind the shotgun.

There are wrenches made to hammer on - striking wrenches I think. I can see shooting the strike portion with a bullet from a distance. It would probably be extremely effective. Good, satisfying target practice.

It's bad enough when we do something stupid and hurt ourselves (haven't we all done that at some time?), but to also get to be a national laughingstock for it is really adding insult to injury. I guess it's made all the national news networks, e-mails all over the world, etc. Do you reckon the TV talk shows will offer to pay him now to appear on their shows?

I have a nephew whose first comment was that it showed the importance of using the right tool for the job. However, he then said a shotgun might be the right tool for some cars and that he had even owned such cars.
