Shotgun to loose a lugnut

I have a nephew whose first comment was that it showed the importance of using the right tool for the job. However, he then said a shotgun might be the right tool for some cars and that he had even owned such cars.

I think he had the right tool to fix the problem, he just used the tool on the wrong problem.

I think he shot it from the wrong side,probably hit in the TIGHTEN DIRECTION, HE NEEDS TO GO BACK AND SHOOT IT FROM THE OTHER SIDE

He could have bought a nice compressor and impact wrench for what the hospital charges will be...

Likely he could have bought a new Lincoln and saved all the work.
