I use stabil, but typically at double the rate. It's both a protector and seems to be a cleaner too.
Us cold climate guys have some advantage as the fuel doesn't go bad as quick at -20F as it does at 85F. But we are all still learning about the new fuels with more and more stuff that is not so good! I also add 2 cycle oil at 100:1 to aid in lubrication for both diesel AND gasoline.
