Well, John, I wasn't sure either/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif, but I think it's cajones.

John,

Now there you go.... starting up a long-winded dissertation. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Bird,

Good - we have someone from the southwest to get the correct spelling. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

John, I think it's slang; not proper Spanish, but if you look for it on google.com, you'll find the word used (although I'm not sure you'll find an English definition). I even think I spelled it right./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Re: Should I Buy a \"Bushhog\" brand cutter

Well guys I bought the 285 model Bushhog for $1300.00 and no tax. I used it today and was very happy
with the performance;although I've never owned one before and have nothing to compare it with. I looked at several cutters including KingKutter and Woods and it looked like it was a heavier duty unit.

That 285 is a very good MD unit...

Congrats on your purchase, it should last quite a few years...

What kind of tractor are your using with it?

I thought about the Brown but a dealer with a good price and close to me swayed the decision for Bush Hog. If it will out cut the 406, then as John says, it has a lot of cajones.
Yesterday morning I took mine and cleared a new fence line through thickets of spiny vine stuff and 3-4 inch scrub trees. It took one pass and about 30 minutes to do a length line that before has taken me hours to complete.

Congrats on the 285 I believe you will be very happy with it. It should cut what you have in mind.

John
I know this is a compact tractor board but see attached picture for tractor for 406 use. I use my TC29 mainly for light hogging and landscape scraping and finishing when reclaiming pastures and also miscellaneous were I need to manuever.

That's a little different than Kentucky onions (kyonions) isn't it, Bird? /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif
