Alfonzo, At first I thought a BX1500 would be OK for you but after reading more of your posts I think you should consider one of the three cylinder machines (1830 or 2230). I stand by my comment that the 1500 can do a lot of jobs but you may need a little more power.
I put 4 hrs on my machine yesterday dethatching sweeping and aerating my lawn but I won't mow it till next week so I still can't say how my setup will perform for mowing. As far as how much hp is needed for cutting grass I never take more than the top third off the grass at a time so I could probably run the 48 inch deck with as little as 10 hp. Deck size and length and condition of the grass you will be cutting (wet or dry) should be considered when deciding how much power you need.
