Dirt,
Thanks for the diagram. I reviewed my wheel position after I did the post, and I am not at the most narrow. The deep dish of the wheel is toward the inside but the bolts are on the inner portion, meaning theoretically that I would have one more narrow position, with the tractor being approximately one inch more narrow on each side. Now THAT would be too narrow. As it stands, my rear tires are about one inch out from the rear fenders, which is a good width right now. It looks to me that I could invert the wheels and probably add about two more inches to each side, so my local dealer has said he would do that for me tomorrow and I could see how it seemed. My tractor currently is about 54" wide between sidewalls. Surprisingly, I cannot tell that the tractor is any less stable than before with the R4 tires. In fact, I am not so sure that the taller tire does not offset some of the loss from the more narrow width. In addition, it is really not that much more narrow, as the tractor was only 3" wider with the R4 tires. I have not been on some of my steeper hills yet, but on my drive, which is plenty steep, the tractor feels pretty stable.
