Should I fill my front tractor tires with foam?

Followup: It was quite a job yesterday to get the wheel/tire on the tractor. Two of us couldn't lift the darn thing and we couldn't quite get it lined up using the front loader control. Finally, we figured out lifting the opposite front wheel would work better and voila!

BUT, when I get the other one foamed and it's too heavy to lift, about the only way I can think of is to lower the opposite foamed tire onto a transmission jack, then slowly jack it up until the holes line up.

MP, my foamed fronts weighed about 100-150 pounds. I have one of those deer hoists that fits into the truck receiver hitch so I used it to lift and lower the tires from the bed my pu. I backed the truck up close to the front of the tractor and with the hoist was able to get the tire out of the truck and close to the mounting studs. If you don't have one of those hoists maybe some one near you does.

Could you use the loader arm to lift the tire? Probably not an OSHA rated idea, but it should work.

The only foam I use is shaving cream.
