Forks Should I invest in a set of Pallet Forks?

I use firewood bags and go straight from the splitter onto the pallet. Once the bag is full and tied, you can stack them, I make a pyramid shape with two on the bottom and one in the middle on top and then cover the whole thing with a silage tarp. I have a row about 30ft long for this winter.

Do you have pictures of the firewood bags? I have never heard of them

I don't have pictures of mine, but they are the exact same as the ones in this video. I made up a similar frame (made it a little nicer and painted it Kioti orange of course!) and I use spring clamps to hold the bags to the frame. It's fast and easy and reduces the number of times I lift the entire pile of wood several times (from splitter to shed, stack in shed, shed to deck). This is my first year doing this way and I LOVE it!!!

Oh ya. I added caster wheels to the bottom of a skid and place the skid of firewood on that once I bring a skid over to the deck. Then I push it (no problem by hand) against the back wall of the house. I lay a canvas tarp on the deck and wheel the wood over one end of it and then fold the tarp over the rest and bungee the loose end down. I bought 50 bags if memory serves and they were about $2 a bag. I'm on my 4th bag and so far they will all be reusable.

Just ordered a set of hd ones. I also added in the hd binders as I needed them for securing loads on my trailer. A christmas present for me....of course the wife doesn't know ;)

Keep us posted on how they work out in real life. The ability to clamp/chain or both is interesting.

Got them in a day after Christmas....Have not used them but here are a few shots. I ordered the binders as well as I wanted the option and was shopping for some anyway - so its saved me a trip. So far they look great. I have to admit they were really packed well. I like it when a company packs their products like its gold. Obviously these were not going to get damaged in shipping (besides paint) but packaged with styro blocks, heavy staples on the cardboard and tape. Shows me they take pride....but I will put their welds I am sure to the test ;)
