We are getting ready to move to the suburbs, small yard, could mow it in 15 mins with a 48 mower deck on the back of the ym135. Decision is whether to keep it or not. I have a JD 110rf with a 39" mower deck that can more than handle the mowing duties and properly equipted can do the garden and snow removal. But, having just dumped a bunch of money and time into getting the diesel rebuilt and rebuilding the steering box as I type. I dont really want to part with it either. mike

Moving to the burbs is a tough thought. I'd keep it if I ever had any plans to move back to the wide open, then again seeing it sit idle in the burbs with no hope of escape would just bring tears to my eyes.

I can get a woods or king kutter mower for it, it will definaly keep yard work times low! And I can annoy the neighbors with it, still a smokey runner till it warms up. Needs worked harder for longer amounts to fully seat the rings, still has a slobber stack. I know where I can get a used woods RM59 for $250 but the jury is out on whether I can handle that deck with a ym135. Cheers Mike

Lets see, I can annoy the neighbors with the diesel smoke, mow the yard in 2.2 nanoseconds while annoying the neighbors with the diesel clatter and smoke. clear the drive of snow with the back blade in 2 passes, and one can never have enough tractors!! Cheers Mike and Michele T

To me, it's a no brainer.... Keep the yannie

My wife keeps asking me why I NEED a 20hp Diesel with a FEL and a 60" deck to mow 1 acre and plow the drive when a shovel & push mower would do the job :)

Ask her why she needs an oven and stove top to cook, when she could build a fire in the back yard and it would do the job. Or don't ask. Your choice, your consequences;).

The village where I live has been amalgamated into the city. We will soon be surrounded by subdivisions. A couple people around here still have MF135s. One fellow likes to go out on winter evenings and clear all the driveways on his street. He refers to it as his evening out of the house. How could any of his neighbours ever complain about diesel noise or smell.
