That's true.. Originally, the engines had 30 gross HP and 25 at the PTO. Now it's 27 gross and 24 at the PTO.
Also, the displacement of the engine went from about ninety cid to just over eighty. It's actually another engine, not a modification of the original.
Since there was only a drop of one HP at the PTO, probably never notice it.
This happened in 2002 or early 2003. My 790 has the new engine and was sold originally in February 2003.
