You can only put so many hours on a tractor regardles if you have 1 or 2 your service isn't going to change. Besides 2 tractors would be cool LOL

Have a raffle. The place where I do my banking buys a new Harley-Davidson Sportster each year and raffles it off to raise money for the chamber of commerce (tickets $50 each). They only sell a set # of tickets so they go pretty quick. You could put it up as a superbowl prize on a football pot ($500 ticket=$50,0000) adjust amount of ticket to cover your cost of tractor. Maybe donate it to TBN for the 1,000,000th poster prize (still no word on my bumpersticker).

I would like to have 2 tractors. Hate to change attachments. Main reason for buying a dedicated mower.
If I had a hydraulic driven PHD mounted on a FEL. I would not get rid of it until every hole was drilled. The B3030 will get in much closer and will be easier to maneuver than the L4740.

If you don't need to sell it then keep it. In the long run keeping it is cheeper than selling it. The loss is not recoverable. It will be very handy having a close quarter tractor. I hate throwing money out the window but keeping it over time you will get a return out of it

I am in the "if you can afford it, keep both" school. Having two trators would be great, especially if you are going to be clearing. One to push, dig and cut, the other to haul and finish. The B would be a lot more manuverable for the finishing work than the L. Especially if you go as big as the 40 series which I believe do not have HST.

I have a Kubota L185DT that I thought about selling when I bought the L3130. I decided to keep the L185 for one year before I made a decision on selling it. I decided to keep it since I used it to pull a one row cultivator and 4' bushhog. There are places that the L185 can go that the L3130 cannot. This is mainly because we grow so boxwoods that have some narrow rows and tight places (trees)to hog that the 5'hog on the 3130 cannot get into.

I would suggest that since you can afford to keep it I would keep it for at least 1 year that way you will be able to decide if you really need two tractors. You may also be able to get back more of your investment in it since tractor prices should go up in price a percentage every year.

However I am now in the same position as you. I have acquired more land since I bought the 3130. Now I need a 50-60 hp tractor and trying to decide if I should sell one or both. Or should I keep one and buy a skid steer, or TLB that I desperately need, or the MXX40, or sell, or skid, or TLB,or...or...

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

You are thinking of the Mxx40 series which is much bigger and doesn't have HST. The new Grand Lxx40 series is going to replace the Grand Lxx30 series and has a new improved HST transmission.

Keep it, everybody needs atleast two tractors...one small and one big. You will find out one will preform task the other cannot due to the size factor.
You will be kicking yourself later if you sell it.
I had a B7500 that I wish I still had and will get another in the near feasable future.

Charles, Nice looking setup there. Can't blame you for wanting a larger unit and the new L-series is Very nice. I was wondering if you can post some close up shots of the mods on the B3030. I am considering that tractor with the upgraded seat and would like to see what it looks like on the machine. Same for the 12v outlet and work light.
