Should I trade my 4720 in for a 4720 cab?

Just teach your wife how to operate the 5525. The more time she's in it, the more comfortable she'll be with the controls. You'll save $$ and earn "points" for spending time with her and giving up the climate-controlled cab. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My ignorance. When you said "cab" you meant a permanent steel and safety glass enclosure with A/C etc. I thought you meant the flexible "enclosure" type which is essentially a canopy with zip up curtains like a big cabin boat has or similar to a Jeep soft top. I have seen various kinds of the flexible ones for sale to be added on by the buyer.

I had to sell my 4720 before I got the cab version. You don't want to trade. I bought my non-cab version in September after the dealer told me it was going to be at least another year before the cab version came out. Needless to say, the cab versions were out in the next couple of months. Paid right at 30k for the non-cab tractor, 400x loader, top-n-tilt kit, diverter, 3rd SCV, and rear work lights. One Dealer offered me 24k and another 22k. This for a tractor with less than a hundred hours and not a scratch, but like others have mentioned it would be hard to sell the tractor used when someone could get a brand new one. Ended up selling the tractor to a local for 27k. He was happy to save 3 or 4k and I was happy to get rid of it. I then ordered the cab version and could not be happier.

I could stand only loosing $3K or so, but then again with the delta I could put a backhoe on my current 4720. Since I already have one cab tractor that might be the smarter move for flexibility, etc.

What options did you get on your cab 4720?

D--

No matter what it costs I will support you in the trade (not financially, just morally). I would do it!!! When the Armour All is off the tires from the dealer, it's trading time!
