I understand your point though I dont agree with you. We just wont see eye to eye on this one

That's fine. I like discussions about most any topic. Just something to make me think or maybe see a view from a different perspective. I'd never learn anything if I didn't ask. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Am I the only one that thinks that car sucks for looks? They were trying to bring back the glory years of the 67-69 and that's the best design they could come up with? Next to the Boss 302 or the Cobra 69 the 69 RS/SS is my favorite car. That car does no justice to those vintage cars at all in my opinion.

I completely agree with you. If that is the best that they can do, they might as well through in the towel. The new Mustang does a good job of pulling off a look alike to the 1969 - 1970 Mustang. The new to be Camaro doesn't.

Challenger, with a 6.1 liter Hemi, not a 'Cuda. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My thoughts on this are from a different prospective. My brother worked at Ford. He was all union, all the way, yada yada yada...........he died at 49...........2 years more and he would have FULL retirement, but alas, he died, heart attack, and his wife got.........................................NOT ONE **** PENNY of his retirement, not one! The UNION duds came by the funeral home, big deal. That was the last we saw of them............

He drove Fords, bought them for his kids, and his widow still buys them...............A,X or whatever plan.

Dear Santa,

Next Christmas, I want a Hemi Challenger!

I LOVE THAT CAR!

Looks dictated by aerodynamics? Optimum aerodynamics will lead to the same general shape no matter the designing engineer. In the '50's and '60's there were more distinct cars. Didn't care much about aerodynamics then(I do agree, it would be nice to have something striking...).

The thing that sticks out for me as the last big mix of aerodynamic vs style and function is about 1969-70, when the Torino Talledegas, Mercury Cyclone, Dodge Daytona, and Roadrunner Superbirds were mixing it up in NASCAR /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
