"Show Images" option doesn't seem to work

I agree. I put the clickable thumbnails in from photobucket and they do take a lot longer to do. They are also quite confusing to do to begin with.

There's another feature for vBulletin, a 'thumbnail' tag. Upload a picture, enter the url of the picture between 'thumbnail', '/thumbnail' tags and the forum software creates a clickable thumbnail linked to the picture.

It would be nice if the photos showed up. However, people often make them big and then they take ages to download and they make reading the rest of the thread difficult.

With Mozilla Firefox I just middle click on the pictures before I start reading and they open up in a new window

That's what the 'Show Images' option is for in the first place, if the pictures download too slowly for you, uncheck 'Show Images' and all of the images are links. If you like to middle click all of the images then turn 'Show Images' off. I don't like to have to do that (I use Mozilla SeaMonkey), I would like all of the images to be visible in the thread.

There is a bug with this feature and we will hopefully have it fixed soon.

By soon, I mean within 2-3 weeks.

Sorry to have to mention it, but it's been over 3 months, almost 4. Please fix this bug.

I don't quite know what you mean by this. I have always found that it will take you to the last post you haven't read which I find to be a very useful feature. Then you don't have to go through all the posts you have read before.

If you don't visit the forum often it's not a useful feature. Sometimes a thread will come up that's been around awhile with more than one page, if you've never opened the thread before and do so you are sent to the last post and you have to navigate back the the beginning. It is a useful feature for some, an inconvenience for others. It should be an option. I don't visit regularly, I find it inconvenient. Just like the "Show Images" bug, another inconvenience.

I like the site, the information here is awesome, but some of the implementation of the forum software needs a little work, some things that would make it much better than it already is.

That "feature" can be annoying. Here's a work around, click on "Mark All Read". After doing that you will always go to the first/oldest post in the threads. The drawback is that on the Main Index page the thread titles with new posts don't show up bold anymore.
