we got off task when people started posting their pics of front end weights and brackets.
We need this separate thread.

I'll regurgitate some posted on the other thread.

Kubota first. Used the factory grill guard base and built off that.

Since I built it I acquired two more weights so extended each end. I can now carry nine weights.

Here's a smaller scale rack I added to the grill guard on my JD2210. Only holds two weights which is ample for this tractor. Put them on sideways so they don't stick out the front so bad.

In Winter I use the JD2210 to push snow with a hydraulic blade. To attach the blade I have to remove the grill guard. I use a 3pt QH and a tote box to haul wood in the shop so need front weight.

I built this simple rack that holds three suitcase weights and can be Quick Hitched using the blade mount by simply removing the blade. Works great. No tools required. No heavy lifting. Never leave the tractor seat.

I have an M7040 with a loader and grill guard on it. It looks and I believe it is the same frame as yours. It takes the same weight bracket.
Do you believe I could leave the grille guard on and bolt the factory weight bracket over it? I looks like it would fit just fine. My point is, I have a loader on the tractor and while I know I have to remove the weights to put the loader on, the bracket can stay on all the time. Any thoughts on this?

That would be very good if that would work. I question it though having never saw a Kubota weight bracket. I'll do some online searching for a good picture. Should be able to tell from that.

Yeah, I remove the weights when the FEL is on. I've never tried it to see if I could leave them as there's really no need other than saving the manual labor.

Like to never found it. Weight bracket is under "loader" parts list. Go figure.

Yes, it appears it's designed to bolt on with the grill guard in place. :thumbsup:

I might have a chance to buy a factory steel bracket with some weights so if it comes up, I will buy it.

Definitely. We can figure out a way to make it work if there's a problem.

Here are weights on my L4300 Kubota. The bracket is home made and allows me to easily bolt on a rugged grille protector to it. I can take it off and the bracket stays on. With the factory arrangement, I couldn't do that. The weight makes a huge difference when I pick up a 900 lb seeder.

The weights are new Holland skid steer knock offs and are, I think, 60 lbs each. I would have liked OEM weights since these are pretty sloppy castings, but the price was right. I painted them Kubota gray.
