My imagination went into build mode again .I have a transmission to change in my pickup so I decided to build a jack .No test run yet so will wait and see how it works out .

Your picture comes up alright. I like the idea of the hex bolt on the end of the screw.

How does it tilt? Tranny jacks need to tilt two ways.

It was a spontaneous build ,no tilt was planned , if I get lucky it will have enough flex where the top rotates for the tilt

Couple wood shims pushed in under the trans pan will tilt it , I am spontaneous also. I like it , sure beats dragging in up on your chest and knees and working it up there.

YEP!! That's nothing you can't cure with some wooden shingles and a couple of ratchet straps

Here is something I made a long time ago to hold onto a small screw in tight places to poke it through a hole.

That's nice-
I usually make something on the spot- a piece of shirt cardboard, or use something like a hemostat, but it can be dicey- and your tool looks like it has a pretty positive hold on the machine screw- especially important in the usual locations I'm working in- where if you drop it, it's prolly gone for good...
