They have been known to go after small kids. There are too many of them. My boy has seen èm running across streets in Indianapolis,IN,and my brother saw 2 of them cross main st. near KY fried chicken, here in Jackson,OH.
I'm gonna wage war on èm soon. My brother has property I can hunt on. don-ohio :)^)

We have had coyotes in northern NY for decades. The locals hunt them with hounds and average about 40 per year.Very seldom "see" a coyote around.

Yeah,it's pretty bad when you see them all the time like we do.As wary as they are,we still see some killed on the roads. They are multplying quickly and need population severely curbed. don-ohio :)^)

plenty here in southwest Ohio
saw a pack (12-15) cross on the back of my property about a month ago
now my daughter doesn't leave the house to feed the horses unless she's got her 380 with her
when we moved 3 years ago you could here them about a mile and a half southwest of us
this last year they are getting much too close
might have to spend a night or 2 in the hay loft with my rifle

Good one!!!!

Chances are it was an Acme Co. mower.;)

Steve

Hahaa! I do believe I would give him a hunting lease in exchange for doing some mowing once in a while.

We've got them here in Virginia too... Perhaps not as many as to the west, but they're here. There was a local bounty until two years ago and it got lots of 'em killed, but it wasn't enough. No bounty now. We have a few packs forming, but mostly single pairs. They've removed our problem with feral cats, but seem unable to do much about the ground hog and rabbit population... And they rarely take deer.

I've got a good view of a partly wooded hill from my deck where they like to hangout. I've sighted in my 30-06 on the hill (about 200 yd) and will soon pop off some.

We're a bit low on yotes at the moment as evidenced by the sudden appearance of feral cats.

We have Coyotes here. Trust me, for every Coyote that you see, there have been many that are around that you haven't seen.I haven't seen a rabbit anywhere around here for at least a year. The rabbits aren't even in the burn pile anymore either.
