Rear Finish Mower side or rear discharge finish mower

/ side or rear discharge finish mower #11
I have been trying to mow my lawn, too at times, with my Bush Hog mower. What a mess! It just didnt work very well for me. So, I bought a used Landpride Rear Discharge finish mower a month ago and like it a lot.

As others have said,
1. the wind doesnt blow the clippings back into your face,
2. you can mow close to trees or fences either side of the tractor,
3. I just like the way the grass discharges. It is shoots out about a foot, not several feet like my side discharge mowers.
4. You will absolutely love the finish cut. It is THE best with a finish mower! I t hink it is as good or better than a zero turn mower.

Enjoy.

IMHO, all finish mowers should be mulching type.

I almost got killed my a mower without proper guards mowing on the median of Alligator Alley across Florida. The thing slung something shaped about like a bullet that made about a 50 caliber hole in the door of my Benz, which is not beer can metal. A bit higher and it would have gone through the glass at me.

I get so pissed when I see people all over mowing with discharge chutes up, not being used.

For public safety, any machine used next to a roadway ought to be either flail, sickle or mulching rotary.

My brush hog discharges at the back without a guard. I only use it in areas away from houses. It still will windrow some. Best mower/brush hog for not windrowing much was my Gravely. It's a mulcher with a fairly high dome above the blade. (Notice the WAS. I sold it last week.)
