I have an older Ruger 77 in 22-250 with a 6.5-20x Nikon on it that I bought used shortly before I moved to Poultney 4 years ago. I'm in the same boat as you, haven't found a load that I like in it, just no time to get out. I load for all my rifles, handguns and slugs for my shotgun. Supposed to get to warm to split wood today so maybe I'll throw a couple of guns in the truck and head over to the Poultney Gun Club this afternoon. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I didnt know that Poultney had a gun club !!! I have been going all the way down to Chester, over the hill past Bromley and a ways past that /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Do they have a open membership ? I have been shooting at my Uncle Daves place up the road from me, for my rifles anyway. Any info on that club?

Hi Scot, The range is off the road to the dump in East Poultney. The first left on the dump road and is about 1-2 miles down the road on the left. There's a cable across the drive so you have to park on the side of the road. There's a fairly new house on the right side just before it. I found out about it from a guy at work. Dues are $10 per year, not to bad these days /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I asked Trevor, the guy at work, he said the guy that runs the barbershop in Poultney, across from Stewarts gas station, or possibley the Original Vermont Country Store owner might have them. He did tell me the president's name, all I can remember is the last name is Harmon (sp) and he lives on Rt 140 in East Poultney. It is open membership with people from Castleton, Hubbardton, etc. If you're confused send me a PM and I'll send you my phone numbers.
