bigdaddyslim,

Congrats...mine is being delivered 11 May: L4400, loader, box blade, JD MX-6 cutter, WR Long root grapple, and two rear remotes for good measure.

Funny thing, took my wife with me to do the shopping and ended up with better attachment options than I would have gotten myself! Gotta keep her around...that and we got 22 years in Jul.

Anyway, enjoy your new "tool"

Dave

Congrats to both you guys. Great choice. Plenty of power coupled with straightforward simplicity. Kubota's 2.2L 4 cyl. diesel is a good runner.

The two rear remotes are a good idea; got my L4300 that way and have been happy with the flexibility it brings. Filled rears are nice too as is a block heater if you live where it gets cold.

We'll need pix, doncha know.

Great machine! I love mine. Love the power. Love the simplicity. Hope they get it to you soon.

Don't know about bigdaddyslim, but George, your 4400 tales were one of the major factors that led me to settle on this machine. Wilson Equip in Spartanburg is putting the package together for me and fills the rears as a standard practice. Looking forward to mucho play time.

Uh oh. I sure hope it lives up to your expectations! I can say, without any reservations that it has lived up to mine. I think there are only two ways in which the L4400 could disappoint. The first is that if it is too small for your needs (which could happen with any tractor). The second is if you are looking for more luxury. It has a cupholder and a basic comfortable (to me) seat. And that's about it. You have to change gears manually of course, but the forward lo and reverse positions are directly opposite which makes back and forth work pretty easy.

I noticed something interesting in the parts manual that I just bought. You can get length-adjustable lower lift arms as an option. So if that's something you really want, you can get it. The other thing you can get as an option is a upper to lower lift arm connecting rod that has a crank for fast easy length adjustment.

I don't change implements often enough (and I've got the once frustrating process down now) so I don't feel the need for either of these.

Or for real function, get a hydraulic adjustable top and side link. Once you have had a hydraulicly adjustable top link, you will wonder why they are not standard, they are that good. This set up is also known as TnT or top and tilt. .

Congratulations! Just turned 8 hours with my new L4400. Great tractor and after using a 601 Ford for 20 years it's got plenty of frills for me!

I think that's the secret of the L4400, Biggreen. If you arrive there from a '60s or '70s era Ag tractor, the L4400 IS the deluxe model.

That's the way I felt when I first hopped on my L4300. I'd have felt 'spoiled rotten' on a Grand L ;)
