Simple question Ford 1700

Hi,
I've had my 1700 since I bought it new (1981 I think).
Lately, the rubber stopper n the oil dipstick has become loose.
It will be a simple matter to reattach it at the right spot, but... (and here is the question):

What is the correct length from the underside of the rubber stop lip (where it seats on the engine block) to the end of the dipstick?

Many thanks in advance to the person who takes the time to measure it for me.

These pictures from my 1700 also a 1981 (double click on the picture to enlarge) as near as I can tell if you set the top of the rubber flat area (not the dome but the widest part) at 4 11/16 up it will be as near as possible. When I change oil and filter the new oil always shows 1/16 to 1/8 inch above full and stays there. To the underside of the rubber stop plug looks like 4 7/16", I hope this helps. Ray I

I have a great close up camera if anyone needs pictures of the outside of a 1700 I will be happy to take some for you. Anything visible without disassembling the tractor can be taken. Mine is a 4 X 4 that I bought new.
