Thanks, I hope i dont have to sleep in my shed lol. I am goin to build mine on skids also just in case i need to move it.

hey, I built a little playhouse on 2/6 skids (it was 4 by 6 and made of two by four screwed together with stury outdoor screws. It twisted so much I had to do quite a bit of reworking to make it square again! it did not have sheating on the outside, do youthink that was the key behind the movement?

Nice job framing with all the gussets and ties and sheathing, I think your building will not be racking or flexing and should be able to survive a big eathquake. How about anchoring? Could a big enough wind knock it over? Out in the plains, one would have some serious anchors on a mobile home for instance.

Sleeping in a 10x12 loft is just like sleeping in a small bedroom, but you have to go down the ladder to use the bathroom!
Sheeting would have helped I am sure, there are some other variables but 4x6 skids on a building that small are too heavy, everything will move before the skids will since they are the heaviest part of your structure. (I hope that makes sense)
I am not going attempt to drag mine but if I decide to move it I will pour a slab then jack it up and put round metal poles under it and roll it onto the slab. Here is a photo of my dad after our first day of framing and a photo of my skid foundation with pressure treated 2x6 floor joists spaced 16 inch on center. I used 3/4 inch tongue and groove sheeting for the floor. OSB which I will not use again for flooring.
