Simplicity Chipper/Shredder

I just picked up a Simplicity 8/14 chipper. It has an 8 horse Tecumseh engine on it. I am trying to figure out how old it is. When did Simplicity stop using Tecumseh? The DOM on the motor is 1291 D. Based on what I saw on the Tecumseh site it could be from any year that ends in 1. 2001, 1991 1981? The guy I bought it from said it was only a few years old (wasnt really sure since he was the second owner) so I would guess 2001. Any ideas?

I took a few branches to test it out and it seems more powerful than it looks like it would be. Does anybody have experience with this chipper?

The Simplicity owners must be out using their equipment.

This site shows that the chipper had a Tec engine at least through 2005, so 2001 sounds reasonable.

I've used it about 5 hours so far and I have to say it is exceeding expectations. It has handled everything I have thrown at it with ease.
