Well ive been quoted $9700~ for the 4x4 27hp briggs diesel motor and the more aggressive tires, not r1s though, 1500 for the 60" mower deck, $3150 for the 500lb lifting front end loader, $2100 for the 50" rotor tiller, the 3point hitch is included in the $9700 price and $1450 for a box scraper which i think is rediculous.

I was looking at a john deere 3320 or similar models, just got out of hand and thats out of this years budget, by a bunch after buying my new enclosed trailer.

Im looking to spend around 13k or less. CCMachinery has a $1,300 49" heavier duty tiller which i can purchase seperately.

The total for my items are
$9700 tractor
$3100 loader & rear weight ballast box
$1300 49" HD tiller seperately
$650 post hole digger "seperate" i like the JD frontier one with a 24" auger, i know its HUGE but i dont need to use it that often and have all day to let it dig.
$750 box scraper, probably land pride or frontier
$500ish for 24" auger for post hole digger
$14,750 with NO tiller
-$800 simplicity factory rebate on XL tractor
$13,950, still have to add tax of 6% and its $14,787 again.

sucks it seems that although the Tractor is 4-6k cheaper than even the smaller John Deere 2305 models and such, the attachments are the same price even though the loader only "lifts" 500lbs it states when the JD 200cx does 1100, 300cx is 1600 and 400cx lifts 1900lbs. The 300cx i know is about $3150 from a dealer lol.

I need this for minor landscaping work, moving dirt, mulch, stone around, grading dirt to flatten areas, dig holes with post hole digger. Its hard to even find a dealer in NJ that HAS one of these to look at in person too.

I can also use the 0% for 36 mo financing too. thats 3k down and $305~ a month.

I've just bought the 49" CCM Tiller, but have not yet used it. $1300 is the price. The black hitch-point brackets are not well painted so I've already taken them off and repainted them. Other than that, this gear driven tiller appears to be built pretty heavy-duty.
Also, speaking of tractor costs, my Massey Ferguson 1523 (gear) was only $9600. It's considered a small-frame CUT; one size bigger than subCUTs.

You have a Montana dealer only 22 miles from you in Lambertville.

Maybe they can help you with a nice set up.

Thanks,

You will generally find that items like loaders cost roughly the same no even the some are considerably smaller than others. The materials to make them are just a fraction of the cost. It takes the same machinery to fabricate a small loader as it does a larger one. Same amount of labor to weld etc. So when you factor the costs of actually making a smaller loader they wind up costing close to the same price. The larger loaders will cost more, but not that much more.

Been there. when I was shopping I would have gladly gone for a Cub 5000 series diesel 4x4 at a price considerably less than JD but at the time there were no Cub dealers around. NOW there is one. But then I wonder why Lowes dropped Cub in favor of JD? No, I spent more but am happy with my green one.

I'm in NJ but don't know where Mercerville is. DUH. Try Becker's Hardware on Rt 34 in Colts Neck. Usually has 1 or 2 on the floor. Nice people.

And HD picked up Cub and Toro (one can't make up there mind and the other is trying to corner the market :^)). Have you looked into the Kubota BX, NH TZ, Case DXE, MF GC, or Agco ST22? At Aldermans Kubota (online) I priced a BX1500 with loader, 48 deck for less than 12,500.

Granted Kubota prices are high near me but maybe in your area things are better? Also, kubota may have a financing plan that can help.

Added later: I wanted to add that this was list price. Aldermans

When I bought my tractor 2 yrs ago I started out looking at the XL, it was well over $9k at that time and I quickly moved on.

Simplicity are very dear for what you are getting. If you want a real tractor & don't want to spend too much, why not look at Kioti or Mahindra. You will at least be getting a beefy tractor versus a almost tractor. The Simplicity XL in their own literature call it a GARDEN tractor. To me it looks more like an overgrown riding lawnmower.

From the implements you are considering, believe me, if you go simplicity you will just be selling down the road for something larger.

Just had to add my $.02 worth. I have a 1000'+ driveway. Purchased a Simplicity commercial snowblower 3 years ago. Thought it would do the job. It's a pain. Went and talked with the Simplicity dealer about the Legacy XL back in January. Dealer told me he wouldn't be in business if he based his profit on repairs of the Legacy... there were none! It's a tough machine. After testing it this winter (albeit a very mild winter) I thought I was sold. It was a great tractor for snowblowing and for minor tasks. I didn't like the price and decided to investigate other tractors. Looked at literally all of the brands out there. I narrowed my choice down to three, Mahindra, JD, and Kubota. After talking with the dealers of the three and test driving two of the three (eliminated Mahindra because of the dealer), I finally bought the B7610. Price of the tractor was $10,500 and the FEL was $2,900. Filled rear tires instead of a weight box were $200.
The reason I was hesitant on the Simplicity was because of the limited 3 pt hitch as well as ground clearance. I needed something that I could drive through my woods. For the price difference between the Kubota and the Simplicity it was worth the grand more. I would seriously consider moving up in size to a compact ute.
Good luck!
Keith
