I have made 3 of these and they have worked out real good.

what are the front pins locking into. don't recall any holes in that area but i have not had a chance to get under there to get closer look

Made one right after I got My unit in 09.

these ideas are what i had in mind, i've got plating and expanded metal so either is possible, i assume you got the extra pins from tsc or did they come from dealer.

There is 2 holes up there, they are just a hair under 1/2". I used 1/2" pins that are spring loaded and can lock open just like the mower deck has. It goes up and down with the tractor hyd. and when you set the mower knob to top and drop the 3pt, it comes down a little, then it is about 1/4" from the frame.

Yes. It's designed to allow airflow while still preventing sticks and such from getting to the fragile HST cooling fan.

Harry at BXpanded may not respond to your question. He posted in a different thread that he doesn't want to post prices here on TBN because his prices may need to change from time to time. If someone does a search on this thread two years from now, they may expect the prices to be the same but because the cost of metal went up, he had to change his prices.
