skid plate question

Hey guys,

Been looking for some skid protection for a 2008 Kubota 2350. I contacted Bro Tek and got some pics but I'm still confused as to what I might really need.

Bro Tek has a lot of stuff that looks pretty good but what do I need to start out with to at least keep me from sticking stuff into the 2350's soft underbelly?

If you only occasionly use the tractor with the mower deck off, you should be able to get by with the rear skid plate. That will give protection for the HST filter, fuel pump and the fan blade.

Or you could just make one, easy enough to do and easy to put on and take off. Cost almost nothing.

I made my own out of sheet aluminum. I even made the mounting brackets from the sheet, just cut and bent 4 l-brackets and screwed them to the plate and mounted it to 4 existing holes in the frame. I do have to take it off to mount the mmm but it only takes 5min. It goes from the bottom of the rear axle to about mid frame. I am not rock climbing just brush hogging so I didn't need to spend $150-$200 or whatever the Bro-Tek one costs. Don't get me wrong it looks like a nice piece but seams a little on pricey side for what it is. Cost $0 I had the stuff Labor 1.5hr
