Birdhunter: The RB 25-35 probably start to get pricey, the dealer quoted a suggested retail of the RB 1572 at 600 dollars. Illinois is the heart of bird country or darn close isn't it. Southern Pa. where I live, we have a few grouse and some stocked pheasant plus an abundant crop of turkey. Any more I just shoot sporting clays.

i got lucky and picked up what is essentally a RB3572 off the local craigslist for way cheep. (good condition 2)

i cant imagine useing something of lesser weight as it cuts so well. (which i attribute to its weight)

i notice your from from PA so either pick the one closest to you, or the largest city (as its likely to have the most listings)

I don't have Skid Shoes or Gage Wheel (yet). Paid $1,195 for my RB3584 landpride Rear Blade and picked up a Landpride Landscape Rake a few days ago for $795. Plan to remove the blade and install the rake tomorrow. Pic of RB3584 attached.

Here are some pics of guage wheels made by someone else. I got the pics from the ytmag.com site. What it still needs is the ability to fine tune the wheel height. But if you had a hydraulic top link, that would be an easier way.
