Anyone know where to buy or how to build a skid steer quick attach system for a tractor loader? Thanks

I'd check out this, seems to be a very versatile SS Q/A plate.

Anyone know roughly the prices for plates (tractor side) already built?

You can get info on the standard dimensions for SSQAs here

Universal Attachment Plates : Skid Steer Attachments : Quick Attach Attachments, Inc.

Here's the SSQA on my 2008 Mahindra 5525--cost ~$900 installed

The spring loaded retention pins look like the most complex part of the assembly and they are important--you don't want your FEL bucket coming detached while hauling a load (don't ask how I know:confused:).

Good luck

Depends on what your putting it on. What size of loader. I just bought one from Bobcat for my CT225 is was $400 but the one for the bigger CT400 models is closer to $800.

Im looking on buying a loader from Coldwater for my Jinma 25hp 4x4 tractor. I think it will lift around 1000#. I also have a Bobcat 753 skidsteer that I want to share the attachments between the two machines.

I have a Coldwater loader on my Jinma 254. It has just one tilt cylinder in the middle. I have been looking at making it a quick attach so I can use my skidsteer forks and tooth bucket. I haven't found anything that was made for this loader but have found some that you can build your own. One was from SkidSteerAdapter.com Any others I should look into? Thanks, Ash

I just built one last wk to go on my brothers 4610 ford. I had a factory attachment off another tractor that had gotten warped up by the previous owner. the two sides where connected with a 2 1/2 in sq tube. At first we thought we would just cut out the old tube and replace it, but the width of his tractor forks was wider than a standard skidsteer quick attach mount so it wasnt a matter of just replaceing the tube and rewelding. The new standard for a quick attach is a width of 44inches, outside to outside of the mounting plate. His forks where 48 inches. What I did was take a piece of 3/8 plated, 48"x20". I also used 4 pieces of 3/8, 20"x4" to make the mounts for the fork and cylinder pins. I drilled out the pin holes and welded bushings to the outside of the plates for extra pin support. These brackets I then welded to the back of the 20x4 in plate. I then removed the tube from the quick attach and cut the mounting plates down to square it up on the new backing plate. It was then a simple matter of just welding the quick attach plates at the proper 44in width to the new mounting plate. I didnt take any pics. Since my brother doesnt have a quick attach bucket for his new hitch, he hasnt installed the new one on his tractor yet, I might be able to get a pic later today. After building this new adapter, and looking at the finished product, I think we could have saved some money by just buying enough metal to mount each side of the quick attach seperately and then reconnect with a piece of square tube. This would have made the quickattach lighter and we could have saved a few bucks, but it is what it is.

I had one of these from Hayspear.com on a Kubota B3030 with LA403 loader. It did whatever I needed it to do.
Side to side adjustable for various width lift arms.

I bought the Thor Attachment ( Welcome to ThorAttachments.com ) latch boxes and will build my own frame to fit my tractor. They look to be very well built!

I got the thor unit also. Just the boxes like you said - was around 450 if I remember correctly (this past summer). I cut the mounting brackets from my bucket and welded them to the boxes and painted. Here is a couple pictures and a video of it in action. http://youtu.be/vhjJTKPlMRk

I have not been gentle with it at all and it seems to be just fine - I don't even think about it any more - it is just another part of the tractor.
