Skid Steer bucket for L39

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has replaced their standard bucket with the much longer, lower profile skid-style bucket? I'm pretty much fed up with the bucket on the L39. It holds enough material, but only when it is completely rolled back. I'm thinking Kubota designed this to make the lift number appear better by moving the center of gravity back towards the tractor.

With the ssqa you can run any bucket you think better. On my M59 I run a skidsteer HD long bottom high capacity 5’ with piranha bar that suits my work better than the factory bucket.

I agree the deep bottom skid steer buckets are a lot better. The other compromise aside from a weaker loader spec is lower dump height.

I agree. I think those tradeoffs are worth it however.

I do to. I looked into buying one but better than $1,000 for what I wanted made mine look better.

BIL just put on a piranha bar on his L39 bucket. Extends the bottom length several inches. Makes it dig better and a terrific brush removal tool. Cheaper option than a new bucket.
Local Bobcat dealer has just about every bucket and attachment to rent and try. Bucket can easily be moved in a pickup truck.
See skid steer equipment go for cheap at farm auctions except for the stuff I’m interested in. Before and after Christmas I’ve gotten some bargains.

900 would probably get one but I wanted a Kubota bucket off a SVL75 with teeth.

That is a very nice bucket. You can get the IDENTICAL bucket through Landpride, I have no idea if it is less money. I do know our new skid loaders and CTL’s come in now less bucket and we stock skid quantities of Landpride toothed and plain edge buckets.

I think my quote on the Kubota bucket was around $1200.
